We need to feel the cheer and inspiration of meeting each other, we need to gain the courage and fresh life that comes from the mingling of congenial souls, of those working for the same ends.
- Josephine Ruffin (1842-1924)

How do you live your life?

I love this song, the message...
Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes made of ticky tacky,
Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes all the same.
There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one,
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.
And the people in the houses
All went to the university,
Where they were put in boxes
And they came out all the same,
And there's doctors and lawyers,
And business executives,
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.
And they all play on the golf course
And drink their martinis dry,
And they all have pretty children
And the children go to school,
And the children go to summer camp
And then to the university,
Where they are put in boxes
And they come out all the same.
And the boys go into business
And marry and raise a family
In boxes made of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.
There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one,
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.

Prayer can be an action...and a silent conversation between the Divine and us...
La oración es para el alma lo que el aire para los pulmones.Prayer requires neither a priest nor a church, much less an audience.
Prayer is to the soul what air is to the lungs.

Regardless of how you feel inside, always try to look like a winner. Even if you are behind, a sustained look of control and confidence can give you a mental edge that results in victory. My mother shares this philosophy. No matter how she is feeling, she always manages to put herself together. It is not about vanity, but about self-esteem...

Remembering my beloved Grand Mother Maruca
Queen of Heaven
Queen of my Heart...
Weep, but briefly, for your loved ones as they enter into the Kingdom of God for they shall possess a joy and peace that is unattainable on God's earthly realm. Rather, rejoice in their everlasting and total happiness for their eyes have seen God.

In morals, what begins in fear usually ends in wickedness; in religion, what begins in fear usually ends in fanaticism. Fear, either as a principle or a motive, is the beginning of all evil.
- Anna Jameson (1794-1860)
What do you fear?
How do you combat fear?
Do you let fear rule your life?

I CAN
I WILL
I MUST
BELIEVE it...and it shall be so...
Every failure, obstacle or hardship is an opportunity in disguise. Success in many cases is failure turned inside out. The greatest pollution problem we face today is negativity. Eliminate the negative attitude and believe you can do anything. Replace 'if I can, I hope, maybe' - with - 'I can, I will, I must.'
- Mary Kay (1918-2001)

I never thought of myself as a ‘Star’, not even after I made my biggest films. Perhaps that’s because I am basically an introvert. I knew that I loved working, performing. What the public made of it was their business. I hoped that they liked me and admired my work, of course, but that pedestal they stuck me up on was insignificant in my view. What pedestals have we been placed upon? By whom?
- Cyd Charisse (1922-2008)
